With a Master's degree in Hydrology and extensive experience navigating luxury catamarans across the globe, he ensures every voyage is both safe and spectacular. Whether he is charting a course to a secluded Balearic cove or sharing his passion for the ocean, Thomas's meticulous attention to detail and welcoming nature guarantee an exceptional journey. When not at the helm, you might find him kitesurfing or planning the next perfect anchorage.

CHEF

Nicole is thrilled to be your chef on this adventure. For her, food is about telling a story, and her passion for sustainable, fresh ingredients—shaped by her work on local farms like Good Moon Farm in Tortola—shines through in every dish. Beyond the galley, she is an avid photographer, food stylist, and PADI-certified diver. Her greatest joy is combining these passions to create an unforgettable culinary and maritime experience for all guests aboard.

STEWARDESS

Languages: English, knowledge of Croatian

Karmela is a dedicated hospitality professional with over six years of industry experience and two seasons of yacht hostess work. She excels at multitasking, meal planning, and provisioning while maintaining impeccable attention to detail. Her practical sailing knowledge and boat skills—from tying knots to anchoring—make her an invaluable crew member. With a strong command of English and a working knowledge of Croatian, Karmela brings creativity and warmth to every aspect of her work, from preparing imaginative meals to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests aboard.

DECKHAND

Andrew Dockendorff is a seasoned deckhand who has taken his passion for nature and the outdoors from land to sea. Andrew grew up in South Africa.  He worked as a Field Guide at AndBeyond, Phinda and onboard a charter sailing vessel in Knysna, Western Cape, hosting international guests. His ever growing curiosity for adventure is what drew him to Viva la Vida. Andrew loves sailing and enjoys sharing his experiences with the people onboard. If Andrew is not in the gym, you will find him surfing, hiking or birding.
